Salary: $128,960 - 133,120 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience
• Proven experience developing full-stack Java applications with Spring Boot
• Experience with Kafka for communication between microservices
• Cloud experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure, including deploying code to cloud environments
• Database experience, such as PostgreSQL, and strong SQL skills
• Experience building or supporting high-volume, data-intensive applications
• Hands-on experience with AI-first or agentic engineering, including tools or approaches such as Copilot, Claude, agents, LLMs, or prompt engineering
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• GCP experience preferred
• React experience preferred

• Design and implement new features, including AI-driven solutions
• Develop and support full-stack Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices
• Build and maintain Kafka-based communication between microservices
• Assess proposed application systems for processing high volumes of data
• Design, code, test, debug, and document programs
• Work with business users, systems analysts, technical leads, and project managers to establish specifications
• Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflows, logical processes, and system interfaces
• Deploy applications and code to cloud environments
• Install applications in production in accordance with change-control processes
• Develop and implement acceptance test plans to verify that products meet customer requirements
• Apply AI-first and agentic engineering practices within the development workflow
• Help teammates resolve technical questions and troubleshoot issues

We are recruiting for an intermediate Full-Stack Java Developer to join an Agile team supporting a leading pharmacy benefit manager in Eagan, Minnesota. The role is fully remote and works on a cloud-based application in an AI-first, agentic engineering environment. This is a long-term W-2 contract paying $62–$64 per hour, depending on qualifications.
