We're partnering with a growing, people-first organization to hire a hands-on controller to own day-to-day accounting operations and provide reliable, forward-looking financial reporting to leadership. This role is ideal for a high-accountability accounting professional who enjoys variety, thrives in a collaborative environment, and can operate independently with strong attention to detail. You'll oversee core accounting functions, payroll and benefits administration, budgeting/forecasting support, and recurring reportinghelping ensure accurate financials, smooth internal operations, and strong compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounting & Financial Operations
• Own the month-end close process including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash activity, and banking relationships
• Payroll, Benefits & Internal Support
• Manage payroll processing
• Billing / Revenue Cycle Support
• Oversee billing workflow and invoice accuracy
• Compliance & External Coordination
• Coordinate annual compliance items such as licenses, renewals, and required filings
• Liaise with external tax and legal partners as needed
• Support annual information reporting (e.g., 1099s) and other required compliance tasks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 7+ years' of progressive accounting/finance experience
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting best practices
• Experience with payroll and benefits administration strongly preferred
• High integrity, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently and prioritize deadlines
• CPA preferred (not required)
