Controls Sales Executive | Charlotte and Atlanta Opening

$120,000-$125,000 base + monthly commission

Want to sell commercial building controls and help build a market at the same time? My client is a controls contractor established nationwide, but growing its Charlotte and Atlanta area branch and looking for a relationship-driven sales professional who enjoys opening doors, earning trust, and turning conversations into long-term customer partnerships.

This is a chance to have real influence in a growing local office. You’ll have room to own your territory, support from experienced technical teammates, and the potential to build a team as the branch grows. The leadership style is hands-off: bring your ideas, follow through, and make things happen.

What you’ll do

• Develop new commercial HVAC controls and building automation business throughout the Charlotte market.
• Build relationships with building owners, contractors, facility leaders, and other decision-makers.
• Identify opportunities, guide customers through potential solutions, and close new business.
• Coordinate estimates and proposals using BidTracer, which can be learned on the job.
• Partner with programmers and technicians to scope work and hand customers off smoothly.

What you bring

Commercial HVAC controls or BAS sales experience is strongly preferred. You’re outgoing, credible, comfortable starting new relationships, and motivated by growing a territory. Deep programming expertise isn’t required; the ability to understand the customer, connect the right people, and earn the sale matters most. Around four or more years of relevant experience is ideal, but the right background and approach matter more than a rigid number.

What’s in it for you

A $120,000-$125,000 base salary , plus commission equal to 6% of gross profit, paid monthly . A first-year monthly minimum guarantee may be available for the right candidate. The role is hybrid and primarily local, with a company vehicle and gas card or the option of a vehicle stipend. Benefits include medical coverage, a 401(k) plan, nine paid holidays, negotiable PTO, and a phone allowance or company phone.
