Temporary-Art Teacher Salary: Long Term Substitute (Greater than 30 days) with BS/BA $20.00 per hour. Certified Teacher (serving as Teacher-of-Record) $22.00 per hour (or per the 2026-2027 Salary Schedule) (or per the 2026 - 2027 Salary Schedule)
Replaces: Brandi Clayton-Hart (Maternity Leave) This position is currently advertised as a temporary position to begin August 24, 2026 and with an anticipated end date of October 31, 2026. Continued employment after the end date is not guaranteed and would be contingent upon the circumstances surrounding the need for a temporary role at that time. A successful candidate for this position will be able to apply for other positions with the District at or before the conclusion of this position. Depending on the actual duration of employment, the successful candidate may not be eligible for all benefits provided to a permanent employee. Qualifications:
(1) Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution.
(2) Satisfactory criminal background check. Note: Beginning January 1, 2026, new hires must be screened through the Clearinghouse (information on the Clearinghouse is available at )

*(3) Plan and prepare work for students which is clear, compelling and engaging.
*(4) Plan and prepare lessons and instructional delivery systems which include clear links to the school improvement plan and the District mission.
*(5) Plan and prepare instructional strategies that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
*(6) Assist in preparing for changing curriculum needs and continuous improvement.

*(55) Establish and maintain a positive collaborative relationship with the students' families to increase student achievement.
