Pediatric & Orthodontic Dental Assistant

Celebration Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics is looking for a dependable, energetic, and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our growing team!

We are a busy pediatric dental practice that provides both pediatric dentistry and orthodontic care to children and teens. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children, takes pride in providing excellent patient care, and works well as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable assisting with pediatric dental procedures and interested in learning or expanding their experience in orthodontics. Pediatric or orthodontic dental assisting experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist and orthodontist during patient appointments and procedures
• Provide excellent chairside assistance while maintaining a positive patient experience
• Prepare and set up treatment rooms, instruments, and materials
• Take dental X-rays, photographs, and orthodontic records as directed
• Assist with patient charting and clinical documentation
• Assist with pediatric dental procedures and orthodontic treatment
• Assist with braces, wires, brackets, retainers, and other orthodontic procedures as directed
• Provide age-appropriate education to patients and parents regarding oral hygiene and treatment instructions
• Help children and teens feel comfortable and at ease during their appointments
• Communicate treatment and home-care instructions clearly and compassionately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical area
• Follow all infection control, sterilization, and safety procedures
• Assist with efficient room turnover
• Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation
• Communicate professionally with doctors, patients, parents, and team members
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Support the doctors and clinical team with additional duties as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Previous dental assisting experience preferred
• Pediatric dental and/or orthodontic experience is a plus
• Someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and teenagers
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable
• Positive, friendly, and professional attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Comfortable working with children of different ages and personalities
• Someone who takes pride in creating a positive patient experience
