ROLE OVERVIEW We are building a top talent engineering team to support Fashion Nova’s next phase of growth. We have ambitious plans to build technology platforms that will help us scale the company significantly over the coming years. The Senior Software Engineer will work closely with our product teams as we evolve our Shopify based eCommerce experience to take our user experience to the next level and build data rich tools to enable internal teams to maximize their performance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Efficiently develop new software based on given requirements using industry best practices for security, maintainability, performance while following existing internal standards. Actively participate, and lead, relevant sprint processes – planning, grooming, retrospectives via Scrum or Kanban processes Responsible for initial high‑level sizing of tasks. Assume a high level of ownership of all work developed by members of the team Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues Train and integrate new team members and proactively support the continued development of existing team members. Recommend improvements to existing software programs as necessary Develop and maintain unit tests for existing and created code to ensure compatibility and stability. Responsible for third level emergency support for maintaining site operation with minimal downtime. ROLE REQUIREMENTS 10 years of experience in Software Development. Proficiency in Javascript, React and Node.js.
