Harrison County Hospital is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team.This position is full-time, days, 32 hours per week.The Medical Assistant is responsible for administrative as well as clinical tasks: such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, assisting physicians with exams, and performing front-desk tasks.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Medical Assistant Degree Preferred1 year of experience PreferredHigh School Diploma or GED RequiredSKILLS:Ability to work independently and with groups.Analytical and problem solving skills.Annual CPR recertification (American Heart Association)Ability to operate office equipment: computer, printers, fax machine, copy machine, telephoneGood knowledge of medical terminologyUse of correct terminology, spelling and grammar in documentation.Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with various healthcare professionals, patients, families, and employees.Full-time Benefits Include:Health, Dental, Vision, Retirement, and Life InsuranceEmployee Health and Wellness ProgramPSLF (public student loan forgiveness) qualifying employerTuition ReimbursementHospital and Physician Practice DiscountsPaid Days OffExtended Illness DaysEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee Service AwardsCafé DiscountsHarrison County Hospital has continuously served the people of Harrison County since 1950.
