Position Description

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Operates mechanical and non-mechanical hand tools (drills, compactors, grinders, buffers, shovels, brooms, rakes, sledge hammers, picks, etc.)

2. Material handling (certified forklift operator)

3. Assist welders

4. Build spark containments

5. Basic rigging

6. Basic carpentry

7. Execute minor demolition

8. Elevator operator (Permanent and or Temporary)

9. Assist with site organization and housekeeping

10. Assist craftsman

11. Assist with equipment set-up

12. Traffic director

13. Furniture/equipment mover

14. Assist with barricading

15. Landscaping assistant

Position Requirements

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

• Must have High school education or equivalent.

• Must be able to follow and comprehend supervisor's instructions.

• Must be able to follow all safety procedures and policies.

• Must have knowledge of and be able to use all basic hand tools (hammer, saw, drill, etc.)

• Must be able to operate any required equipment related to classification.

• Must be able to hear warning sirens, bells, whistles, and to execute safety and evacuation warnings or instructions.

• Must be able to maintain a positive working relationship with all employees, clients, field, and safety personnel.

• Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times while on the job site.

• Must have the ability to perform basic math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

• Must be fluent at reading, speaking, and writing English.

• Must be able to maintain communications with TIMEC supervisors of job status and current assigned responsibilities.

• Must have the knowledge and motivation to maintain a clean jobsite free of tripping hazards and unnecessary obstacles.

• Must be capable of working in a fast paced environment.

• Must be capable of working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.

• Must be able to crawl, bend, squat and kneel.

• Must be capable of climbing towers/vessels/tanks up to heights of 100' and must be able to work on scaffolding or at heights of up to 100'.

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds unassisted.

• Must be able to wear approximately 30-40 pounds of required gear/equipment while performing assigned tasks.

• Must be able to work in confined spaces.

• Must be able to perform work wearing personnel protective equipment. Including but not limited to the following: rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, sand blast hoods, nomex coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses.

• Must be able to work long hours and all shift schedules that may require up to12 hours a day, seven days a week for extended duration's of up to 8 weeks or more.
