Senior Software Engineering Manager, Agentic Policies Platform

Inspire, manage, and grow a talented team of software engineers, fostering an open environment while actively guiding their career development.Provide end-to-end technical leadership for complex projects, overseeing requirements, design, implementation, testing, launch, and support.Collaborate closely with key stakeholders (PMs, TPMs, and Engineering Leads) to define and execute a compelling long-term goal and product strategy.Drive the planning and delivery of large-scale, infrastructure systems within a changing environment.Build and operate hyper-reliable infrastructure to deliver fast, intuitive, and always-correct access control for GCP customers.Minimum qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin or Go.5 years of experience in people management, including managing software engineers.3 years of experience managing other managers.Preferred qualifications:Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.5 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.Demonstrated experience using agile methodologies and tooling.Familiarity with Identity, Authentication or Security.Like Google's own ambitions, the work of a Software Engineer goes beyond just Search.
