Certified Surgical Technologist - CST

Job Summary:Performs a variety of duties in surgical services to maintain a well-supplied, sterile environment.Responsibilities:Performs terminal cleaning of each operating room daily, including thorough decontamination of furniture, equipment and air vents.Transports case carts, equipment and supplies and disposes of hazardous waste according to policies and procedures.Monitors and maintains supply inventories at an appropriate par level.Provides physical assistance for patient positioning, lifting and moving as directed by clinical nursing staff.Must be familiar with Women's Services, including Cesarean Sections.Complexity of Work:Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Licensure / Certification / Registration:BLS Provider.Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting(NBSTSA).Shift InformationDays: Friday, Saturday, SundayHours: 7P-7A
