Data Governance Analyst

The Education Data Management Division's Data Governance Office is looking for dedicated individuals to be part of a collaborative team. This position is responsible for to realizing the vision, mission, and goals of the CDE's Data Strategy. This position is responsible for:


• ensuring various education data-related projects and statewide data collection systems align with the CDE's data governance process,
• supporting initiatives and activities that promote data stewardship, support data quality, ensure sustainable data collection and management practices,
• overseeing data governance documentation and resources,
• maintaining a department-wide data inventory,
• reviewing and analyzing documents for potential impact on the CDE's data assets and systems,
• analyzing workflows and identifying areas for improvement, and
• positively collaborating with team members.

This position is headquartered in Sacramento and may be eligible for a hybrid telework schedule for eligible applicants residing in California. Currently, the hybrid telework schedule includes working remotely and working a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.
