Payroll Specialist

Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing for multiple locations and various employee pay structures, including hourly, salaried, technician, and commission-based compensation.
\nThe ideal candidate has strong payroll and accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Process and calculate hourly, salaried, technician, and commission-based payroll. \n
- Calculate commissions, bonuses, guarantees, and technician compensation. \n
- Review hours, deductions, attendance, and payroll adjustments for accuracy. \n
- Maintain and update Excel payroll workbooks. \n
- Reconcile payroll schedules and accounts. \n
- Post payroll, accruals, and related transactions to the General Ledger. \n
- Calculate technician and hourly payroll accruals. \n
- Respond to employee and management payroll questions. \n
- Assist with new-hire onboarding and related HR functions. \n
- Maintain confidential payroll and employee information. \n
Qualifications
\n- \n
- 2+ years of payroll experience required. \n
- Commission-based payroll experience preferred; technician flat-rate payroll is a plus. \n
- Strong math, accounting, and analytical skills. \n
- Advanced Excel proficiency required. \n
- CDK, Paylocity, or DMS experience preferred. \n
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. \n
- Strong organizational and communication skills. \n
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment. \n
- Self-motivated and highly dependable. \n
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally. \n
