Our products include Gardettos, Bugles, Chex Mix, and Muddy Buddys.What We Have to Offer$43.82 per hour starting payPay for skill program for higher pay rates up to $45.22 per hour15 days (120 hours) of vacation annually11 paid company holidays401(k) with company matchHealth Insurance includes medical, dental, and lifeGreat paid time off benefits and much more!Your Work Schedule and Shift InformationCurrently hiring for 2nd shiftMust be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as neededPlant operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.Key AccountabilitiesAs part of our manufacturing team, you will:Support production and processing operationsSupport sanitation operationsParticipate in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipmentCreate high-quality foods that are eaten EVERYDAY, NATIONWIDEUse TECHNOLOGY in an industry-leading facilityWork with HIGH-LEVEL operators on EXPERIENCED teams that are looking to pass down their knowledge to workers WILLING TO LEARN and get paid doing itCHALLENGE yourself to get the JOB DONE RIGHT and gain skills to take with you to your next opportunityApply electrical, electronic theory, and mechanical knowledge to build, repair, calibrate, troubleshoot, and modify electrical components, circuitry, and controls.Troubleshoot current systems and design and implement system improvements and project work.Serve as a key control systems resource for the shift.Execute controls related work orders generated by operators, mechanics, and engineers.Work with Controls Engineers to develop plans and priorities for plant controls projects and problems.Develop working knowledge, including specification, design, troubleshooting, and programming of:PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, Wonderware, AB PanelView, servos, and sensorsProcess PID loops and instrumentationControls related networks, DeviceNet, ControlNet, servers, InSql, and InCuity.Emergency Stop Systems and ClassificationsAC/DC motors and motor control circuitsPneumatic and Hydraulic systemsInstrument/equipment calibrationComplete necessary training to upgrade skills pertaining to effective maintenance of equipment and systems.Play an active role applying GMI control system design standards.Be responsible for proper documentation of work performed.Perform training to plant & maintenance personnel.Minimum QualificationsAssociate's degree or equivalent plus 3 years of related experienceAbility to perform at a Basic Mechanic levelKnowledge of electric theory and ability to perform electrical calculationsProficient in reading electrical drawings, identifying components, and wiring.Ability to troubleshoot using electrical instruments and circuit knowledge.Ability to install, wire, and maintain relays, photo-eyes, limit switches, proximity switches, solenoid valves, motors, starters, VFDs, PLC I/O modules, analog control devices, safety circuits, etc.Ability to install and maintain metal detectors, checkweighers, date coders, and case coders.Basic skills in using RSLogix 5000, 500, 5, RSLinx, Mass Autosave, RSNetworx, and RSLinx.Ability to use the National Electrical Code, NFPA 79, NFPA 70E, supporting codes, and General Mills Standards to perform work in a quality manner.Ability to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over surfacesAbility to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platformsAbility to wear protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment - PPE) such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net, and gloves (when required)Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environmentAbility to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditionsWilling to work around industrial high-speed moving machineryAbility to work with allergens that might be present in a food environmentPreferred QualificationsLicensed industrial electrician (required within 2 years of start date)EligibilityApplicants must meet a minimum 18-year age qualification.Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE)General Mills is an equal opportunity employer.
