Job Summary This role provides direct clinical patient care. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and coordinate direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, supervise staff, and support the CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care. Responsibilities The RN provides high‑quality, safe, cost‑effective, total nursing care to all patients. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process. The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control, with the goal of discharging the patient with an optimum level of care provided. Assumes responsibility for coordination and planning of patient care within the prescribed medical regime. Performs and fulfills all HICS responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility during times of emergency and/or disaster. Knows the hospital’s emergency codes and adheres to the corresponding policies and procedures. Performs related duties as required. Qualifications Required: Education: Graduated from a state‑approved school of nursing or an accredited school. Certification: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice as required by law or state regulations; CPR certification. Preferred: Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing.
