Human Resources Assistant


Location: Harrisburg, Oregon
Schedule: Day Shift, 32 hours/week (Monday-Thursday)
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Position Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Human Resources Assistant to support the daily operations of the HR department. This position is responsible for providing administrative support, maintaining confidential employee records, assisting with recruitment activities, coordinating onboarding paperwork, and helping ensure HR processes are completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Support

• Maintain the confidentiality and accuracy of employee files and HR records.
• Prepare new hire paperwork and assist with onboarding activities.
• Coordinate interview scheduling and communicate with staffing agencies, candidates, and hiring managers.
• Assist with recruiting and other hiring-related administrative tasks.
• Help organize employee events, benefits enrollment, recognition programs, meetings, and other HR initiatives.
• Provide professional and timely customer service to employees and external contacts.

Administrative Support

• Maintain accurate HR documentation and personnel records.
• Conduct periodic audits of HR files to ensure required documentation is complete and compliant.
• Provide general administrative and clerical support to the HR department.
• Schedule meetings, interviews, training sessions, and maintain the HR calendar.
• Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Previous office or administrative experience preferred.
• Prior Human Resources experience is a plus.
