Tax Senior - Estate & Trust Tax

Location: Albany, OR | Schedule: Full-time, Hybrid Overview A well-established, highly profitable regional CPA firm is seeking a Tax Senior to specialize in estate and trust tax. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse mix of SEC and closely held clients spanning multiple industries, with responsibility for ensuring the efficient, accurate, complete, and timely preparation of all client tax returns. What you'll do Perform technical tax compliance and review and approve tax returns and governmental tax examinations of any complexity Demonstrate thorough knowledge and proficiency in advanced technical skills necessary for advising clients Handle all tasks related to client service, ensuring assignments are completed within budgeted time Maintain familiarity with the qualifications of all tax staff members and review staff assignments for appropriateness Supervise tax staff and provide on-the-job training Support the development, coaching, and training of Semi-seniors and Staff accountants Understand the qualifications of all Tax staff members to guide their training and development needs Participate in reviews and evaluations of the Tax Department Required qualifications 2-5 years' experience in public accounting, with demonstrated progression in tax complexity, scope, and research Some estate and trust tax experience Minimum one (1) year experience supervising and directing the work of tax preparers Bachelor's degree in accounting required Preferred qualifications Master's degree in taxation preferred A current and valid certified public accountant's license is preferred Compensation and benefits Excellent benefits package Large potential bonuses 5% employer contribution to 401K program Why this role This position offers a reasonable work-life balance, exposure to both SEC and closely held clients across diverse industry groups, and fast-track career progression. #J-18808-Ljbffr
