A confidential plaintiff-side personal injury litigation practice is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate to manage matters from filing through verdict in state and federal court. This opportunity is well suited to a trial-forward attorney who enjoys direct client contact, motion practice, depositions, mediations, and taking cases to trial with meaningful ownership of files.

THE ROLE

Meet with clients and evaluate claims, draft and file lawsuits Handle written discovery, including propounding and responding Take and defend fact witness depositions Retain and work with appropriate experts, including expert depositions Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations Prepare cases for trial and try cases to verdict, including post-trial motion practice Coordinate day-to-day case progression and provide direction to support staff Participate in internal file reviews, litigation meetings, and trial skills programming

LOCATION, SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION

Location: Florida Schedule: Hybrid, in office 3 days per week

REQUIREMENTS

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school Active Florida bar license in good standing 3 or more years of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience Minimum of 2 jury trials as first chair, with a demonstrated record of strong outcomes Ability to manage a large, active caseload from filing through verdict Strong written and oral advocacy skills, including motion practice and persuasive negotiation Strong courtroom presence and comfort handling hearings, depositions, and trial preparation Please be prepared to provide a written summary of jury trial experience and wins, including first-chair matters

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

Experience supervising or coordinating with a team of support staff Additional trial experience in personal injury matters (first or second chair) Experience with matters such as auto negligence, premises liability, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and medical malpractice
