Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing to patients with complex neurological diagnoses in a 32-bed Neuro ICU at a Level 1 Trauma facility, maintaining a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform and interpret neuro assessments, ICP monitoring, and EVD management for patients undergoing craniotomies, brain tumor removal, brain biopsies, ablations, and complex spine surgeries
• Operate and monitor ventilators and Phillips telemetry monitoring systems; collaborate with 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy teams
• Complete SIMs Lab competency evaluations including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes, demonstrating proficiency in sterile field technique
• Float as needed to other ICU floors and telemetry/med-surg tele units, managing a 1:4 patient ratio when on tele floors
• Participate in holiday scheduling integrated into core staff rotation and may be placed on standby for scheduled shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience in a large hospital (450+ beds); candidates with at least 18 months of Neuro ICU experience will be considered
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• EVD (External Ventricular Drain) experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong neuro assessment skills and ICP monitoring experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3–6 months of prior travel nursing experience
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Experience floating across ICU and telemetry units in a large acute care setting
