Controls Engineer

Travel CNC Electrical EngineerWrite complex CNC and PLC programs for machine tools. Design and layout of new electrical and CNC control systems for retrofit and remanufacture of machine tools and specialized machines. Assist with the construction of complex detailed bills of materials. Instruct and support electrical technicians, electrical engineers, sales engineers, and customers as required. Document preliminary and finalized CNC and PLC programs. Work closely with electrical technicians to ensure a safe and reliable control system for all machines. Assist in planning efforts of complex multilevel projects. Research and develop new and improved control systems and products. Assist in all aspects of the business that are electrical and control related.Daily dealings with management, engineers, inspectors, and electrical technicians. Must maintain strong relationships and communication with vendors and customers.Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, balancing, kneeling, and reaching. Standing and walking 8–10 hours per day. Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly (with or without crane assistance). Push/pull up to 35 lbs. regularly. Climb stairs and ladders. Work on elevated platforms. Work in uncontrolled environments (noise, dust, dirt, mobile equipment). Work overtime and weekends as required. Daily and overnight travel (approximately 85%).
