Phlebotomist

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; overtime and rotating weekends may be required. Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Flexibility to work overtime as needed Qualifications Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent Preferred: Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or 3+ months experience as a Phlebotomist Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible for the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO. Incentive Program: Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
