Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - Night ShiftThis is a 13-week contract position.Night Shift; 36 Hours/Week; 5pm - 5:30 amThe Medical-Surgical RN provides direct patient care, coordinates treatment plans, and ensures high-quality nursing services for patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. This role requires strong clinical judgment, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and a commitment to patient-centered care. The RN will maintain current knowledge of evidence-based nursing practices and demonstrate critical thinking skills in implementing all phases of the nursing process while serving as a professional role model as a caregiver, mentor, teacher, and resource for peers and other providers.Responsibilities:Ensure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and following facility standards set by the State Board of Nursing and other regulations.Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with hospital policies.Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as per physician orders.Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress, reporting changes promptly.Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health management.Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EMR).Ensure compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.Assist with post-operative recovery, chronic illness management, and acute care interventions.Respond to emergencies and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.Communicate effectively with a wide range of age groups, ethnicities, and socioeconomic backgrounds.Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:Graduate of an approved School of Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Idaho or approved compact state licensure.Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.Advanced Life Support (ACLS) Certification required upon date of hire.Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification required within one year of date of hire.Prior Medical-Surgical experience preferred.Why ARMStaffing?Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and moreOnboarding Made Easy: We handle physicals, titers, and more so you can focus on careClinical Support: In-house clinical team available to assist and advocate401k Retirement Plan: Eligible after waiting period; 4% match with 5% contributionRecruiter Matching: Get paired with a recruiter based on your location and specialtyExtras: Travel reimbursement, housing allowance, meals, referral bonuses, and moreWe're not the only ones who think ARMStaffing should be your first choice.
