Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments and interventions in accordance with physician orders and care plans
• Monitor and manage oxygen therapy, pulse oximetry, and respiratory status
• Assist with tracheostomy care, nebulizer treatments, CPAP/BiPAP management, and ventilator support
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and rehabilitation teams to optimize resident outcomes
• Accurately document treatments, assessments, and resident responses in the electronic medical record
• Respond promptly to respiratory changes in condition and emergency situations
• Educate residents and families regarding respiratory conditions, treatments, and equipment

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT) or Respiratory Technician certification, as required by state regulations
• BLS Certification preferred
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, hospital, or post-acute settings preferred
• Knowledge of respiratory equipment, oxygen management, and pulmonary care practices
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
