Dermatology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)Location(s): Carolina Beach (28428) or Leland or Hampstead, NC Employment Type: Full-Time (Mon-Fri) - DaysPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with experience in medical dermatology to join our growing rural health dermatology practice. This role is ideal for a provider who values meaningful patient relationships, continuity of care, and improving access to dermatologic services in underserved communities.The provider will diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of medically necessary skin conditions while working collaboratively with supervising physicians. This position focuses exclusively on clinical dermatology, emphasizing evidence-based care, patient education, and community impact.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive dermatologic evaluations, including detailed histories and full-body skin examinations.Diagnose and manage common and chronic dermatologic conditions (acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis, fungal infections, rashes, etc.).Identify and treat precancerous and cancerous lesions (AK, BCC, SCC, melanoma) within scope of practice.Perform medical dermatology procedures including:Shave, punch, and excisional biopsiesCryotherapyLesion removalWound care and post-procedure managementOrder, review, and interpret dermatopathology and diagnostic tests.Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with licensure and clinical guidelines.Provide patient-centered education on skin health, disease prevention, and treatment expectations.
