Manufacturing Production Supervisor (Welding) in Mentor

Job Description Primary Job Duties Operate as a manufacturing leader demonstrating metric-based management in areas of PQDCCC for daily improvement rhythm (MDI) – people/quality/delivery/cost/cash/CI Ensures effective employee relations, coaching, and employee development Responsible for driving a culture of safety, accountability, metrics and operational excellence. Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data/investigating issues/identifying solutions/and recommending actions Recruits, selects, onboards, trains and mentors’ employees In depth knowledge of all welding practices Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, resolving problems and reporting results on shift production summaries Enforces and implements company policies Supports Engineering and Quality with improvements to business systems, processes, and products Responsible for owning inventory, supplies, and budget for the department Maintains workflow by monitoring and upgrading processes, setting process variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, studying methods, implementing cost reductions and facilitating communications across cross functional teams Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques Responsible for 6S within your area/business unit Skills/ Experience A minimum of 3 years of operations leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Proficient MS Office suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point. etc.) Excellent written and verbal communications skills Proficient with Lean Management techniques (C.I., 6S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke) Ability to gather and employ data to meet organizational goals in a metric-driven environment Education Background High School Diploma / GED or equivalent Bachelor’s degree #J-18808-Ljbffr Energy Jobline ZR
