Inclusion Center Staff Assistant

: Overview: The Staff Assistant III for the Inclusion Center provides office management support and serves as the main administrative assistant for the Director and other office staff. The Inclusion Center supports student success at the Logan campus through holistic and inclusive student-centered programming that enhances the academic persistence, personal growth, and social experiences of undergraduate students. In addition, the following student clubs are advised through the Inclusion Center: Asian Student Association, Black Student Union, Pasifika Student Union, Queer Student Alliance, and Women and Gender Issues Society. The role of staff assistant will require a highly professional level of service to facilitate the functions and relationships of the Center with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities:

• Office administrative support such as travel arrangements, office supply purchases and documentation, business support, and other clerical duties
• Perform office management duties, including scheduling rooms, covering the front desk, filing, preparing paperwork, ordering supplies, and/or managing inventories.
• Greet and direct all visitors.
• Represent the department/program in a positive manner with students, staff, faculty, and the community.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings, events, interviews, appointments, and other similar activities.
• Work with web services to maintain and update website content as directed.
• Manage wage hourly payroll system including review and approval of submitted time (AggieTime)
• Train and guide student employees.
• Compose and word-process various standard documents, correspondence, and reports.
• Assist students, staff, and superiors with highly varied, complex, and non-recurring questions and/or problems.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:

• Four years of experience; or an associate degree/technical training plus two years of experience; or a bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a busy office setting.
• Experience serving student needs.
• Excellent communication skills.
