TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Neuro ICU RN in Castro Valley, California, 94546!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required, with at least 1 year of neuro ICU experience preferred. License: Current RN license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC preferred. Must-Have: Must have neuro experience. Epic charting experience is required. Description: Locals accepted within a 50-mile radius, but will be paid at a local rate. Candidates must have California RN license and certifications in hand for submission. Weekend coverage required every other weekend. Patient ratios are 1:2. Experience in a Neuro Intensive Care Unit is essential. May float to the Emergency Department, Step Down Unit, or Central Monitoring Department. Positions involve managing patients who have undergone neuro procedures or have experienced acute strokes. Candidates will be required to perform detailed and frequent neuro checks. Interdisciplinary support includes teams such as IV, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Services. Special procedures involve managing massive blood transfusions, EVD, ICP, and post-cardiac arrest cooling protocols. The unit consists of 24 beds, split between two wings, accommodating diverse patient diagnoses. The environment is fast-paced, with a focus on quick turnaround and patient throughput. Candidates should have experience in accessing and managing ports, arterial lines, and ventilators. Must be adept in managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and trauma-related injuries. Other responsibilities include administering emergency medications and managing dysrhythmias. Phlebotomy skills and proficiency in monitoring vital signs are also required.
