Our organization is seeking collaborative Anesthesiologists to become part of the team at Riverside University Health System-Medical Center (RUHS-MC) within the Division of Community Partnership - Anesthesiology.

RUHS-MC is a university-affiliated teaching hospital with 439 beds and operates over 60 primary and specialty care clinics in Moreno Valley, Southern California. This location offers convenient access to Los Angeles, Palm Springs, beaches, mountains, deserts, and six major airports. RUHS-MC is recognized as an ACS-accredited Level 1 Adult Trauma Center, a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission, a Primary Stroke Center, and a Center of Excellence for Research.

The practice primarily focuses on adult cases, including orthopedics, general surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, OB/GYN, vascular, and thoracic procedures, along with trauma surgeries. While the group does attend to pediatric patients, the volume is manageable. RUHS serves as a Level 1 adult and Level II pediatric trauma center for Riverside County. Regular regional anesthesia procedures are conducted; however, expertise in these techniques is not mandatory for employment, though it is advantageous. The practice also includes a modern outpatient surgery center featuring eight operating rooms. Cardiac surgery and transplantation procedures are not performed at RUHS-MC.

The selected candidate will be responsible for three 16-hour in-house night shifts during weekdays each month and one 24-hour in-house weekend shift monthly (which can be divided into two 12-hour shifts with another staff member). Two attending physicians are always scheduled for overnight calls (main OR & OB), and all responsibilities are shared equally among faculty members.

The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented physician who values personal and professional development, resident education, and mentoring both residents and medical students. Our practice prioritizes perioperative medicine as a fundamental aspect of anesthesiology; thus, residents receive extensive training in this area, and several faculty members participate in national and state committees discussing future practice models. The ideal applicant will actively support these initiatives.

This role is associated with the Department of Anesthesiology at our organization, affiliated with Riverside University Health System.

Compensation & Benefits
The base salary ranges from $450,000 to $520,000, determined by years of experience and academic faculty rank through the affiliated medical school. This base salary does not include variable compensation or additional productivity bonuses, which can be substantial and are subject to the specific compensation plans of the department. Detailed compensation information will be provided during the recruitment process.
