Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) night shift position in Kansas City, MO, requiring ACLS, BLS, and a Missouri or compact RN license.

Details

• Long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital setting
• Unit: Chronic Care (LTAC/Telemetry)
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact multi-state RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only; RCIS and RQI certifications are not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent LTAC or telemetry RN experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides shift-level accountability for patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
• Delegates care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education
• Candidates who have previously worked at any Kindred Hospital facility in a permanent or contract capacity must disclose those details for consideration
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but may be subject to a reduced travel pay rate
• All certifications must remain valid for at least 30 days beyond the contract start date
