Key Responsibilities

• Maintain standards of nursing practice as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, and Nursing's Social Policy Statement
• Actualize the vision, mission, and values of the facility through balanced scorecard performance measures
• Participate in performance improvement and research activities
• Maintain professional practice standards and clinical expertise within the NICU setting
• Demonstrate leadership skills and core and unit-specific competencies based on the patient population served

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice as an RN in New York State
• Level III or higher NICU experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Infection Control training
• Effective English communication skills, both written and oral
• Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN degree preferred
• Certification in NICU or related specialty preferred
