Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Medical Oncology Breast Clinic

Location : Avera Medical Group Medical Oncology-Sioux Falls Worker Type : Regular Work Shift : Day Shift (United States of America) Compensation The pay range for this position is listed below. Actual pay rate is dependent upon experience. RN: $22.50 – $41.25 per hour LPN: $22.50 – $31.50 per hour May be eligible for a $6,000 sign‑on bonus. Position Highlights Impactful work: part of a breast oncology care team supporting patients and families through treatment. Work‑life balance: 4‑day workweek with a variable day off each week; Monday‑Friday 7:30 am–5 pm. No nights, weekends or holidays. What You Will Do Perform general nursing care, administer prescribed medications and treatments, and coordinate patient care activities. Prepare equipment and assist the provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing. Observe, record, and report patients’ condition and reactions to drugs and treatments. Oversee appointment scheduling and ensure timely flow of patients. Screen patients, obtain health history, take vitals, and conduct nursing assessments. Respond to patient phone calls in a timely manner with appropriate input from the physician. Educate patients and families about diagnostics, medications, nutrition, and wellness. Suggest solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints. Maintain exam rooms with necessary supplies and ensure cleanliness. Label pathology specimens appropriately and perform quality control on laboratory testing. Essential Qualifications The individual must be able to work the hours specified and perform each essential job function satisfactorily, including adequate visual acuity and effective communication. Required Education, License/Certification or Work Experience Registered Nurse (RN) – Active state license upon hire.
