We are seeking to hire an experienced Podiatrist for our Sacramento, California Region. Under the direction of the CMO, the Surgical Podiatrist provides routine and referral podiatric services to patients.We provide leading podiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, and physical therapists with operational support so they can spend their time focused on growing their business and delivering exceptional patient care.Essential FunctionsExamine patients' legs and feet to diagnose diseasesTreat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and anklesPerform surgical procedures as necessary along with wound care managementDiagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test resultsPrescribe medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgeryAdvise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problemsProvide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care teamProvide health promotion and preventive medicineAppropriately maintains medical records on assigned patientsQualificationsMinimum of three (2) years professional experience preferredCurrent License as a Podiatrist in the State of CaliforniaDoctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of PodiatryBoard certification through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery preferredAbility to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progressKnowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical careKnowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformitiesAbility to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutionsExcellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with diverse patient, colleague, and vendor populationsPC Proficient with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook and EMR databaseAbility to provide legal proof of eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.Ability to successfully pass an in-depth background investigation, including clean DMV report and pre-employment drug screen.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 25 pounds.Ability to sit and/or stand for several hours at a time.Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues.Ability to use hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information.Competitive physician salary program with a base + percentage of net collections.
