Victory School – Co‑Lead Early Childhood Education Teacher Yorktown, VA These are Direct Hire positions with the school Full-time; Monday‑Friday; year‑round employment Open Positions Infant Teacher - the shift for this position is 8:30 am-5:30 pm Toddler Teacher - working with children 2‑ to 3‑years old; the shift for this position can be 6:00 am-3:00 pm, 7:00 am-4:00 pm, or 8:30 am-5:30 pm Preschool - working with children 3‑ to 4‑years old; the shift for this position can be either 7:00 am-4:00 pm or 8:30 am-5:30 pm Salary $14.00 – $16.00 /hour (pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience) Benefits Discounted tuition for children (based on classroom openings) Paid time off Paid holidays Professional development assistance Responsibilities Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children Responsible for the planning and implementation of age‑appropriate activities and curriculum as well as the maintenance of educational portfolios Supervise and engage children in educational and play activities Maintain a clean and organized classroom Monitor and ensure the well‑being of each child in your care Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment Participate in training sessions, workshops, and staff meetings to enhance your skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education Qualifications Must be at least 18‑years‑old REQUIRED Education: CDA or higher‑level degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or an education related field REQUIRED Experience: Must have at least one year of experience working in a licensed Early Childhood Education facility Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations – for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib Must meet background check eligibility Note: This job description is not intended to be all‑inclusive.
