Pharmacist Position

To actively coordinate, on a day-to-day basis, the provision of high quality, comprehensive pharmaceutical care to the patients of Deaconess Illinois, in compliance with federal and state legal/regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards. This includes: (1) involvement with multiple drug distribution functions (inclusive of computerized order entry and/or prospective review and verification of physicians' orders, IV admixture preparation, etc.); (2) defined clinical/cognitive activities to optimize therapeutic outcomes under the aegis of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee directives (which include active communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff about the need to clarify and/or change an order along with documentation of intervention outcomes); (3) educational activities with pharmacist colleagues and other health care professionals (e.g., physicians, nurses, etc.) to maintain and advance clinical competency vis--vis drug therapy; and, (4) "supervisory" functions which provide professional oversight and direction of technicians' drug preparation and distribution activities to assure safe and expedient provision of pharmaceutical care to HRMC patients and staff.

Pharmacy degree (e.g., B.Sc, Pharm.D) from an accredited college of pharmacy.

One (1) or more years of experience in a hospital or health system preferred.

Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Illinois.

Hour range: $54.29 - $81.44

Eligible for evening/night, weekend shift incentive based on company policies and applicable job codes. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.

Potential for a performance-based bonus, subject to eligibility criteria and achievement of defined metrics. Details regarding bonus eligibility and performance goals will be provided during the interview process or upon hire.
