Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a rewarding impact in a supportive school setting by providing speech-language services to elementary and middle school students. This contract position offers the opportunity to serve as an integral member of a dedicated speech-language pathology team near Petersburg, VA. You’ll work at a single school for the academic year, partnering closely with other SLPs to help students achieve communication and academic success.
What You’ll Need:
- Completion of a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current and valid SLP-CCC credential
- School-based SLP experience preferred
- Eligibility for state licensure in Virginia
- Enthusiasm for working with elementary and middle school students
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapy to a diverse caseload of elementary and middle school students
- Collaborate with a team of four SLPs, teachers, and parents to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute professional insight, and maintain detailed records
- Utilize evidence-based practices to address a range of articulation, language, and communication needs
- Adapt therapy materials and plans as needed to fit evolving student needs
