Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Location

Santa Monica, CA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in labor and delivery, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Monitor and manage high-risk pregnancies and antepartum patients
• Perform fetal heart monitoring and interpret results in a high-risk setting
• Provide triage assessment and care for obstetric patients
• Float to postpartum unit as needed, including couplet care for maternal and newborn patients
• Participate in newborn role at delivery when applicable

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification or NCC EFM certification required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA-issued)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• LA fire card obtained within the last 30 days required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience performing the newborn role at delivery
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
• Experience with postpartum couplet care (maternal and newborn)
