Why Drive for J&R Schugel?
At J&R Schugel, drivers aren't just hauling freight - they're building a future. Our OTR drivers are the backbone of a driver-powered company built on respect, reliability, and long-term growth. With modern equipment, consistent miles, and compensation designed to grow with you, every mile delivers more than a paycheck.
Through our ESOP ownership program, you don't just drive for the company - you own part of it. When our drivers rise, the entire company rises with them. That's the Schugel difference.
CDL-A Lease Operator Overview
- Revenue that rewards your business. Earn 75% of line haul revenue, with top lease take-home pay ranging from $130,000-$150,000 per year, plus 50CPM on deadhead miles.*
- Modern trucks built to perform. Run 2023 or newer Kenworth models, giving you reliable, up-to-date equipment for the road ahead.
- A lease built around you. Start with no money down and no credit check required, with your first two truck payments delayed to help you get rolling. Weekly truck payments range $625-$775 based on truck year,* with no interest or mileage penalties, and the option to purchase at fair market value or start a new lease at your term's end.
- Home time you can count on. Home every 2-3 weeks with planned resets you can count on.
Benefits & Perks
- No trailer fees, ever. Keep more of what you earn with zero trailer fees along the way.
- Support when you need it. 24-hour emergency road service keeps you moving, backed by fuel and maintenance preferred pricing to help control costs.
- Reserve your ride early. Commit to your truck before you even arrive, with a two-week hold window to lock in the right fit.
All pay and bonus amounts may vary by job type, location, experience level, and performance and are subject to change based on company discretion. Weekly truck payments do not include fixed expenses. Talk with a recruiter to confirm specific details.
