Information Technology Specialist

Responsibilities You will serve as the Network Infrastructure System Manager at the Glenn Research Center. Responsibilities include advocacy, planning, designing, developing, operating and maintaining facility network infrastructure equipment, components and systems used to support research and development facilities at the NASA Glenn Research Center. Qualifications Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS‑13 level: supporting the maintenance and operations of institutional or research communications network infrastructure; interfacing with GRC OCIO contracts and vendors to successfully implement communications network infrastructure repairs or upgrades; and supporting Construction of Facilities (CoF) communications network infrastructure projects. If qualifying based on experience, you must also have IT‑related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies: Network Systems and Technology – plans, coordinates, and manages all activities associated with the engineering, operations, and maintenance of assigned systems; Planning and Evaluating – works with the branch chief in developing long‑range and short‑range plans for improvements in engineering, operations, and maintenance for assigned systems; Teamwork – works with the branch chief in developing long‑range and short‑range plans for improvements; Technical Competence – conducts conceptual definition studies and analyses and establishes preliminary design requirements and alternatives for assigned systems. #J-18808-Ljbffr PVH (Tommy Hilfiger/Calvin Klein)
