Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Wound Care Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 32 hours per week Shift: 16 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Travel Registered Nurse – Weekend Field RN Battle Creek,Michigan ⏳ Contract: 13 weeks Specialty: Registered Nurse – Home Health / Wound Care / Geriatric Shift: Weekends Schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 AM–11:00 PM Position Overview Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide field-based nursing care to elderly and medically complex participants. The RN will conduct in-person assessments, provide wound care and other skilled nursing services, respond to urgent and emergent needs, and coordinate care with providers, families, facilities, and healthcare partners. Responsibilities Conduct in-person participant assessments and determine appropriate levels of care Perform routine, acute, and non-acute home visits Provide wound care, IV hydration, lab draws, nursing assessments, and other ordered treatments Respond promptly to calls from PCPs, triage teams, and support staff Document all calls, visits, assessments, and follow-up activities in the EMR Provide participant and family education and support Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacies, hospitals, SNFs, ALFs, DME providers, paramedics, and other partners Initiate emergency treatment when necessary Implement and document new orders when indicated Document falls, medication errors, incidents, grievances, and other quality-related events Collaborate with all members of the participant's care team Participate in staff meetings, orientation, in-service education, and quality improvement activities Adapt to changing workloads and team priorities Communicate concerns and issues to leadership Requirements ✅ Active Michigan RN license ✅ RN diploma or degree from an accredited nursing program ✅ Associate degree required; BSN preferred ✅ Minimum 3 year of experience working with frail, elderly, or long-term care populations ✅ 2 year of home care experience preferred ✅ 2 year of wound care experience preferred ✅ Current AHA CPR certification or willingness to obtain ✅ Reliable transportation ✅ Valid Michigan driver's license and auto insurance ✅ Must be 18 years old ✅ Willingness to meet required vaccination requirements ✅ Strong communication, critical-thinking, and assessment skills Additional Information ⏱️ 40 hours/week guaranteed TruChart EMR Mileage reimbursement at IRS rate Field/home-based patient visits Weekend-focused assignment Primarily serves frail, elderly, and medically complex participants ❤️ Participant-centered care environment Interested?
