Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant Profession: Physical Therapist Assistant Specialty: Outpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 2 years outpatient and PTA experience License: State License: Oklahoma Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Recent traveler experience preferred Description: The Physical Therapy Assistant's primary function is to perform selected physical therapy procedures and related tasks under the direction and supervision of a registered Physical Therapist. The Assistant will treat patients with modalities and exercise in accordance with the patient's medical needs and an approved treatment plan. The Assistant will understand their limitations as an assistant. The Assistant will assist in maintaining the department in a neat and orderly manner. The Assistant will complete all documentation of daily notes and discharge data. Patients cared for may include infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Occasional Saturday shifts may be required in inpatient rehabilitation or acute care settings.
