Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine (Clinician Educator) Hospitalist

Responsibilities The Division of Hospital and Palliative (HPM) at the Keck School of Medicine of USC seeks exceptional Internal Medicine Hospitalists to join our division. These are unique full‑time faculty positions with an emphasis on inpatient clinical practice at Keck Medical Center of USC. Clinical responsibilities include rotations at Keck Medical Center with teaching duties and direct patient care, co‑management of select surgical patients, and 24/7 coverage. Hospitalists cover a handful of nights per year and approximately 12‑16 weekends. Full‑time nocturnist positions are also available. Teaching & Professional Development Selected faculty will engage in development of students and residents, oversee learners from three residency programs, provide formal teaching at the medical school level, participate in resident didactic sessions, and attend education conferences. Additional extracurricular professional activities and committee memberships, quality and safety improvement initiatives are expected. Qualifications Applicants must be board‑certified or board‑eligible in Internal Medicine, hold a current California State Medical License, and possess a full‑schedule, fee‑paid DEA License with a California address at the time of credentialing. Demonstrated dedication to caring for diverse patients, passion for teaching, excellent communication skills, and enthusiasm for a collegial team‑based environment are required. Salary and Benefits Annual base salary range: $270,000-$290,000 . Benefits include health insurance, wellness programs, generous retirement plan options, life insurance, and tuition benefits.
