Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with ARDMS certification and experience in transplants, dopplers, and renal artery stenosis.

Details

• Work in a Radiology Ultrasound/Vascular Lab setting
• Perform a wide range of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, and some vascular exams
• Rotating day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, 4x10 hour shifts, no on-call required
• Perform portable ultrasound exams outside the Ultrasound Suite including OR, ICU, Emergency Department, and nursing floors
• Uses PACS system for image recording

Requirements

• ARDMS certification required
• ARDMS ABD and RVT certifications preferred
• Experience with transplants, dopplers, and renal artery stenosis required
• MA license required if applicable
• Proficiency selecting appropriate equipment and transducers for ordered tests
• Experience assisting physicians during sterile invasive procedures such as amniocenteses, cyst punctures, thoracenteses, and biopsies
• Ability to interact daily with patients and medical personnel, explain procedures, and position patients appropriately

Additional Information

• Reviews charts and interviews patients to gather necessary information prior to procedures
• Views images to detect pathology and determines images appropriate for diagnostic purposes
• Provides preliminary interpretation in daily logbook and may discuss findings with radiologist
• Performs high level disinfection of intracavitary transducers using systems such as Trophon EPR
• Serves as a team resource for technical information, training, and guidance
• May assist other divisions during procedures
• COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed
• Pass/fail Tele/ECG and medication testing may apply depending on campus
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration, with no more than 1 week approved
• Weekly orientation held every Monday, barring holidays
