Why This Role Stands Out Fully remote flexibility with required in-person court appearances and client meetings No micromanagement—you own your cases with trust and autonomy Clear partnership track for long-term career growth Strong support infrastructure so you can focus on practicing law, not administrative burdens Collaborative, values-driven culture centered on communication, compassion, and accountability What You'll Do Manage family law cases from intake through resolution, including mediation and trial Handle divorce, custody, and high-conflict family law matters Draft pleadings, motions, temporary orders, and discovery Prepare and argue hearings, including temporary orders Develop child support worksheets and financial documentation Represent clients in court and provide strategic legal guidance Maintain consistent, proactive communication with clients What We're Looking For Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active California State bar license (or ability to practice in California) 3-5+ years of family law experience handling cases from start to finish, with a strong understanding of custody disputes, divorce proceedings, and heavily contested family law cases Experience with hearings, mediation, discovery, and trial preparation Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong communication skills and ability to manage high-conflict situations Compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to client service Comfortable managing a billing expectation of ~30 hours per week Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $150K–$225K + strong bonus potential 401(k) with employer match Full health, dental, and vision insurance Five weeks paid time off Paid vacation every other year Ongoing professional development and career advancement Work Environment Remote-first structure with flexibility Court appearances and occasional in-person client meetings required in the greater Bay Area Supportive, team-oriented culture that values ownership and results over oversight If you're looking to grow your career in a firm that values independence, client care, and long-term success, this is an excellent opportunity to take the next step.
