Clinical Nurse Perioperative Patient Care

Location: Tuba City, AZ

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, 4 shifts per week, plus on-call duties.

Job Description: The Clinical Nurse provides care for the perioperative patient. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, formulating nursing diagnoses, planning interventions, and evaluating patient outcomes. The Operating Room Clinical Nurse will be expected to circulate in various specialty areas, including Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, General, Ophthalmology, and Dental, and obtaining scrubbing experience is highly encouraged.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to perioperative patients.
• Conduct assessments and formulate appropriate nursing diagnoses.
• Plan and implement nursing interventions based on patient needs.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions in relation to patient outcomes.
• Circulate in all designated specialty areas as required.
• Prepare for emergency cases and work varied hours when on call.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Valid and unrestricted RN license from any state in the USA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
• National Institutes of Health (NIH) - NIH Stroke Scale must be completed within six months of hire.
• Certification as a Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) must be completed within one year of hire.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) completion is required within two years of hire.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Two years of clinical nurse or operating room practical experience.
