• Salary Range : $60,270.00 - $ 87,840.00

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
Your role
The Assembly & Test Team Leader is responsible for control at shop floor level of day to day production activities within a defined component or product cell to achieve product quality and delivery commitments in an effective manner. Team leaders are the first line of decision making, working within the framework established by the Production manager. Team Leaders are expected to carry out production tasks as and when required in support of their team.

1. Assemble and test modules, cables and dry pumps in line with the daily production plan - focusing on quality and output targets.
2. Maintain a safe and clean work area.
3. Follows assembly and test instructions and procedures to meet output quality requirements.
4. Leads the training of team members and collaborates to drive improvement and efficiency.
5. Maintaining a good working relationship with department colleagues and the supporting departments.
6. Perform quality work checks to ensure the assembly meets quality standards.
7. Sets clear and achievable targets for teams daily activities, and ensures that the team understands its responsibilities
8. Communicates customer needs to the team and esures team meets customer committed schedule of output
9. Motivates the team, by giving advice and encouragement as needed
10. Responsible for team performance cycle, including performance reviews, improvements plans and disciplinary actions

Education Level:

1. HS Diploma/GED Required; 2-Year degree in Engineering Technology or Business preferred

Relevant Previous Experience:

1. Qualification(s) in an appropriate manufacturing discipline, followed by at least 2 years relevant manufacturing experience OR Mechanical aptitude followed by at least 4 years relevant operations experience.

Other Soft Skills and Knowledge

1. 6S's; Material Requirements Planning (MRP) computerised applications; daily planning systems; supply chain; logistics.
2. Has continuous improvement mindset.
3. Experienced in problem solving.

This role emphasizes repetitive assembly tasks, often on a line, requiring fine motor skills and endurance.
• Hand and Finger Use/Dexterity: Uses hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls continually or almost continually (85% of the time), with manual and finger dexterity for grasping, manipulating, or assembling small objects; arm-hand steadiness for stability.
• Standing/Walking: Remains in an upright stationary position continually or almost continually (41% of the time), with occasional traversing.
• Moving Objects/Lifting/Carrying: Frequently moves, transports, or positions materials, involving exertion up to 10 pounds occasionally or negligible amounts frequently; trunk strength for repeated support.
• Bending/Twisting/Reaching: Positions self by bending or twisting the body continually or almost continually (26% of the time), requiring flexibility.
• Repetitive Motions: Performs repetitive actions continually or almost continually (48% of the time), often involving prolonged sitting or standing with repetitive arm/leg use.
• Other Environmental Factors: Exposed to noise, contaminants, or distractions daily (41-52% of the time); wears protective equipment (e.g., gloves, safety shoes) every day (91% of the time).
