You’ll oversee daily operations of the Traffic group, managing engineers and technicians, developing department standards, and driving business development efforts. ASTYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE Manage and design traffic signal projects, signal timing and traffic control plans. Work closely with Land Development Division on Master Planned Community traffic needs. Develop standards and guidelines for Traffic Department. Manage staff of Engineers and Technicians. Oversee day‑to‑day operations of group including business development activities and project management responsibilities. REQUIRED EDUCATION / LICENSE / CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering is required Licensed as a Professional Engineer PTOE Certification is preferred REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 10+ years experience in the Traffic and Transportation field. Experience in signal design, timing, intersection improvements, singing/striping, work zones, technology/ITS, traffic simulation/modeling, traffic studies, and roadway safety. Experience completing engineering studies including traffic impact analysis for private clients, signal warrant studies and traffic management plans. Experience with TDOT and local municipalities. Proven experience in handling multiple tasks and deadlines. Strong communication skills to interact with clients and internal employees. Ability to build strong relationships.
