Data Specialist

Job Title: Data and Documentation Specialist Pay: $26-$28.50/hr Benefits : The position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Contract-to-hire About Our Client: Addison Group is hiring a Data and Documentation Specialist for our client, a mission-driven organization focused on improving community services. This role supports the organization’s continued growth in data, technology, automation, and AI by ensuring information is organized, accurate, accessible, and reliable. Job Description: The Data and Documentation Specialist will oversee information organization and governance across shared systems and document platforms. This position will help establish consistent standards, improve data quality, support reporting and automation, and create a reliable foundation for responsible AI use. Key Responsibilities: Manage organizational documents and shared data across various platforms. Establish and maintain naming conventions, metadata, and folder structures. Lead document cleanup, migration, retention, and lifecycle initiatives. Identify outdated, duplicate, or unnecessary information through routine audits. Prepare documents and data for reporting, automation, and AI applications. Collaborate with IT, data, and business teams to improve information governance. Create user guides, training resources, and documentation for staff. Improve information accessibility and reduce duplicated work. Provide support to Learning & Development and IT teams as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. 3+ years of experience in information governance, records management, or document lifecycle management. 3+ years working with SharePoint, Power BI, or similar platforms. Strong attention to detail and ability to create consistent processes. Ability to explain technical concepts in an approachable way.
