Operations Manager - PMHI Integrated Behavioral Health

Job Overview We are seeking a results‑driven Operations Manager to support the Pediatric Mental Health Institute’s (PMHI) Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) Services across a growing, multi‑site care model at Children’s Hospital Colorado. This role will focus on improving operational consistency and access across 65+ providers and 20+ departments by standardizing workflows, optimizing scheduling and referral processes, and enhancing provider onboarding. The Operations Manager will partner closely with clinical, patient care, and revenue cycle teams to improve performance, streamline operations, and elevate both patient and provider experience. This is a highly visible role for a strategic leader who enjoys building structure in a fast‑paced environment. We are seeking a candidate with a background in policy and process development, operational improvement efforts, and data‑driven reporting to identify gaps and opportunities. The ideal candidate brings strong project management skills, cross‑functional collaboration, and a focus on driving efficiency, scalability, and revenue optimization across a complex healthcare delivery system. Duties & Responsibilities Partner interdepartmentally in the development and execution of strategic planning regarding business and clinical operations, including practice expansion and practice model changes. Responsible for hiring staff, arranging coverage, preparing staff evaluations, implementing disciplinary actions, conducting staff meetings, and managing schedules. Manage day‑to‑day operations and personnel in planning and facilitating patient care services, including program development and process improvement. Provide staff training on policies and procedures; coach staff in problem solving, effective communication strategies, conflict resolution, mentoring, and career path opportunities. Provide project management leadership by creating charters, timelines, milestones, and goals and objectives for projects and programs. Keep projects on time and on task, engage appropriate managers and coordinators, and achieve active buy‑in from stakeholders. Prepare, analyze, monitor, and communicate financial and statistical reports; provide reports on patient satisfaction and implement customer service initiatives to address customer satisfaction. Assist in the resolution of problems that may arise between patients and families, support staff, providers, and other departments. Support clinical, operational and facility services throughout assigned department(s); partner with various departments in CHCO. Assist in preparation of hospital and practice budget and monitor expenses. Determine necessary space, equipment, supplies and support systems for the functioning of the unit or department. Allocate resources to oversee patient care flow. Represent department and act as partner to CHCO Providers, Faculty Practice Organization. Minimum Qualifications Degrees Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Health Care Administration, Management, Finance or a related field. Experience Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in clinical setting. Equivalency Professional experience beyond requirements in a related field may substitute for a bachelor’s degree on a year‑for‑year basis. Master’s or higher degree in a related field may substitute for the experience requirements on a year‑for‑year basis. Completion of master’s degree Fellowship Program may substitute for the one year of experience. Salary Information Pay is dependent on applicant’s relevant experience.
