Details Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting Day shift schedule, 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, 5 days per week Weekend and holiday shifts required Responsibilities include OR suite preparation, patient transport, patient positioning, surgical team support, and PACU handoff Requirements Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted) BLS certification (American Heart Association) Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience ASN required, BSN preferred Epic charting experience required Additional Information Prepare OR suite with necessary supplies, equipment, and medications for each patient Perform patient identification, timeouts, and safety checks throughout the surgical process Position and prep patients for procedures using appropriate aides and guidelines Support the surgical team during procedures, including managing supplies, specimens, and medications Transport patients to PACU or designated units and provide handoff report to receiving RN Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation throughout patient care Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates are not eligible RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract Previous Carle Health contingent workers must have completed a 6-month break in service if prior assignment exceeded 1 year American Traveler Job ID P-740269.
