About the Position

Job Title: Inpatient Registered Dietitian Profession: Dietitian Specialty: Inpatient Dietary Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Sunday - Thursday Hours per Shift: 8 Hours (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) Experience: Minimum 1 year of hospital experience License: Registered Dietitian License Certifications: BLS (AHA), Registered Dietitian (RD) via CDR Must-Have: AK Dietitian License (willing to wait for candidates without it) Description: The Inpatient Registered Dietitian plans, coordinates, and participates in the nutritional care process of the inpatient population. This position assures that quality nutritional care is provided. The Registered Dietitian will coordinate with food service staff, nursing and medical staff to ensure a clear understanding of patient needs. Diet-related physician orders will be followed. This position will cover for the outpatient dietitian as needed. Participation in quality improvement programs concerning clinical services is required. The Registered Dietitian will also participate in the review of standards and scoring guidelines with the Food Services Manager. Quality nutritional care is the primary focus of this role.
