Job Summary and Qualifications The CT Technologist performs routine and specialized imaging procedures in the application of ionizing radiation in accordance with established professional and departmental standards. The CT Technologist provides high-quality computerized tomography images used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities Compassionately assist and position patients on CT table. Start IVs for contrast injection when necessary. Assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary. Release customers with proper post procedure instructions. Turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment. Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or degree in Radiology Technology. Registered ARRT with RT(R)(CT) CT registration required. BCLS required upon hire. Two years of experience preferred; additional training in CT scanning. On-call required and ability to report to the facility within 45 minutes of call.
